Visually understanding
each project environment is imperative when managing a new build
or remodel. R.A. Yarling and Company presents solutions that support
and are respectful of existing architecture and/or environmental
conditions.
Kalamazoo
Institute of Arts
Hired as the owners representative and project management consultant
for this unique museum/arts school building, R.A. Yarling and Company
managed a 30,000 square foot addition and 44,000 square foot remodeling
project reflecting the structures' International Style of Architecture.
Additionally, as the owners representative, we managed the architect,
contractor, and other owner requirements including security, telecommunications
and computer systems, and relocation of staff into temporary quarters.
We also collaborated
with the building and grounds committee to optimize operational
costs through preventative maintenance procedures including maintaining
temperature and relative humidity parameters. The maintenance schedule
directs weekly, monthly and annual upkeep of equipment. This allows
the facility to pursue the opportunity to host national and international
exhibits.
Livonia
Civic Center
In an effort to consolidate numerous remote locations and departments,
the City of Livonia worked with R.A. Yarling as project architect
to remodel their existing City Hall and add a new 66,000 square
foot Civic Center facility. This $6.5 million project was one of
the first of its kind to incorporate a five-story open atrium and
utilize office-landscaping practices to better facilitate interdepartmental
teaming.

Unless
you are personally competent in construction project management
from architectural design through the final punch list, you need
R. A. Yarling and Company.

Anyone
can take a process out of a book and use it but all projects encounter
difficulties. Rick was able to manage project conflicts with skill
making sure they didnt impact the cost, schedule, or design
of our project.
