Marriott
International, Incorporated
The Dearborn
Inn, Dearborn, Michigan
Designed
by the late Henry Ford in coordination with renowned architect,
Albert Kahn, this historic hotel became the worlds first air-conditioned
hotel located at an airfield. The Georgian styled building is reminiscent
of some examples within Henry Fords Greenfield Village. Fords
original plan was to design a hotel that would accommodate numerous
automotive suppliers and company executives along with the general
public.
Following significant
internal management restructuring, Marriott Internationals Hotel
Architectural and Design Department, led by R.A. Yarling managed
the renovation of the hotel to bring it up to Marriotts corporate
standards. R.A. Yarlings Team completed the renovation of the existing
hotel, hotel lobby, restaurants, meeting rooms, guest rooms and
suites as well as new guest room and ballroom additions. We also
carefully planned and relocated six historic cottages - respectful
of the hotels listing in the registry of historic structures.

R.A.
Yarling and Company managed projects in the most professional and
efficient manner and always delivered above our expectations on
all projects. Any and all documents associated with each project
were always provided ahead of requested deadlines and also included
information above the promised commitment.
